Good Rotorua Restaurants are easy to find with a compact city that’s easy to navigate on foot. The most popular area is 'Tutanekai Street', better known as 'Eat Street' which is lined up with al fresco dining restaurants. Eat Street includes Italian, Thai, Indian, New Zealand and Mediterranean restaurants along with a few bars to enjoy.

Although Rotorua restaurants has its fair share of fast food outlets and good cafe fare, look carefully and you'll discover some more refined establishments. The Skyline Gondola is a chance to enjoy a quality buffet with panoramic views of the region, while the larger hotels contain some decent dining rooms which are open to the public. On Thursdays, a number of the Rotorua restaurants have stalls at the Rotorua Night Market which is held on Thursday evenings.
